This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Life & Living Benefits professional to join a growing team, develop a strong book of business, and play a key role in helping clients protect what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

As the Life & Living Benefits Advisor, you will guide individuals, families, farm operators, and business owners through important financial protection decisions by delivering personalized insurance solutions through a needs-based approach. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Development & Business Growth:

  • Prospect and grow a client portfolio through existing relationships, referrals, networking opportunities, and community engagement.
  • Actively manage leads, referrals, and new business opportunities to support sustainable business growth and long-term client relationships.

Needs-Based Insurance Advisory:

  • Assess client risks, goals, and financial priorities to recommend tailored life and living benefits solutions.
  • Deliver personalized insurance strategies designed to help clients manage uncertainty, preserve financial stability, and work toward long-term objectives.

Relationship Management & Client Service:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients through exceptional service, regular reviews, and ongoing communication.
  • Maintain long-term partnerships by proactively identifying changing client needs and ensuring coverage remains aligned with life and business goals.

Farm & Business Insurance Collaboration:

  • Support farm and business owners by identifying insurance opportunities and helping clients understand risk management solutions relevant to their operations.
  • Apply a consultative, needs-based approach to guide clients toward appropriate life and living benefits protection strategies.

Compliance & Professional Excellence:

  • Ensure all recommendations and transactions adhere to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and ethical best practices.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and continuing education opportunities to enhance client outcomes and professional expertise.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

  • LLQP licence is required.
  • 1–2+ years of professional sales or insurance industry experience, ideally within Life & Living Benefits or financial protection services.
  • Experience providing insurance solutions to individuals, families, farm operators, or business owners is strongly preferred.
  • A university degree and/or relevant insurance industry designations are considered an asset.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of needs-based insurance sales and client advisory practices.
  • Knowledge of Farm and Business Life Insurance markets is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience managing leads, referrals, and client relationships in a sales-focused environment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-driven with strong business development and prospecting abilities.
  • Ability to build trust and develop lasting client relationships through a consultative approach.
