This role is based in Lloydminster, Alberta, and requires relocation. It presents an exciting opportunity for an aspiring accounting professional to develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced setting while making a meaningful impact within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
General Accounting Support:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred, but entry-level candidates with strong educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of financial principles and general ledger functions.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
