The Opportunity
Our client is hiring operators for their location near Ryley, AB to help process black earth humics—a key ingredient in natural soil enrichment. If you're mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, ready to roll up your sleeves, and don’t mind getting dirty this is the perfect first step into a rewarding long-term career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physically bagging of small bags (55 pounds) of product (including tying and labelling).
- Operate and monitor industrial screening and automated bagging equipment to support continuous and efficient production of black earth humics.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize operational downtime.
- Calibrate machinery in accordance with production specifications, adjusting settings as needed to meet changing operational demands.
- Perform in-process quality control by monitoring material flow, product integrity, and packaging standards.
- Accurately document production output, system adjustments, and quality inspection results in compliance with operational protocols.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and resolve mechanical or process-related issues promptly.
- Maintain adherence to occupational health and safety procedures, including the proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Support overall facility operations by keeping work areas clean, organized, and aligned with environmental and safety standards.
- Participate in job-specific technical training and continuous improvement initiatives to build operational and mechanical competencies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and follow technical processes
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Felxibility to work evening, weekends and overtimes. Must have reliable personal transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre employment D&A test and fit testing.
