As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, team leadership, and business growth across multiple facilities, including the Grande Prairie location and other service centers within the Peace River region.
Key Responsibilities
As the General Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, team leadership, and business growth at your service center. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales & Business Development:
o Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue and market share.
o Engage directly with clients, participate in key account meetings, and support the sales team in exceeding targets. - Operational Oversight & Profitability:
o Oversee day-to-day center operations, including asset management, inventory, and expense control.
o Ensure financial performance through budget planning, margin optimization, and cost efficiency. - Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, coach, and mentor a cross-functional team including inside sales, outside sales, warehouse, and support staff.
o Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Customer Experience & Service Excellence:
o Champion best-in-class service standards and resolve escalated customer issues.
o Promote strong, lasting relationships with clients through personalized and reliable support. - Health & Safety Compliance:
o Act as a safety ambassador, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards.
o Promote a culture of health and safety throughout the center. - Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
o Track key performance indicators, produce center reports, and communicate insights to senior leadership.
o Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary education is preferred; relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu.
o Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial distribution, sales, or operations. - Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems; SAP experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and sales cycle management in a B2B environment.

- Strong decision-making skills, financial acumen, and a customer-first approach.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
