Position Overview:

The Commercial Account Manager will play a key role in servicing and supporting commercial clients. This role involves a mix of client service, administrative processing, and supporting the Account Executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and professional service to commercial insurance clients

  • Process incoming commercial documentation and maintain accurate client files

  • Prepare quotes, renewals, endorsements, and certificates of insurance

  • Submit and follow up on applications with insurers and underwriters

  • Assist in invoicing and payment processing

  • Support and back up Account Executives as needed

  • Liaise with underwriters and adjusters to negotiate coverage and track claim status

  • Source and compile additional information requested by insurers

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; post-secondary education preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience (property/casualty and auto preferred)

  • Level 2 Agent License in Alberta (preferred)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to service

  • Previous sales experience is considered an asset

  • Experience with construction insurance and surety bonding is also an asset
