Our esteemed client is currently seeking Superintendents for upcoming commercial construction projects across Canada! This role entails overseeing and coordinating on-site operations, managing suppliers, delivery companies, subcontractors, and staff. The Role:

 

As a Superintendent, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating, scheduling, conducting QA/QC, and evaluating construction projects from inception to completion. Ensuring strict adherence to schedule’s, specifications, and budget is key. Your responsibilities will include managing the site, overseeing projects, handling inventory, reading blueprints, tracking costs and time, scheduling, and managing property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site work including repairs, matching, layout, framing, forming and reinforcing, concreate placement and finishing, equipment operations, site staging, and subtrade preparation.
  • Manage/Execute renovation and construction projects.
  • Maintain tool and asset inventory.
  • Manage trade scopes.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Track costs of general purchase orders.
  • Track time and approve hours.
  • Schedule construction projects.
  • Conduct material take-offs and order materials.
  • Manage property/facility.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be prepared to work on the tools when required.

 

 Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Demonstrate leadership in the construction industry.
  • Experience in property development and management.
  • Journeyman Carpenter Certification (Red Seal or Higher).
  • Proven track record in providing job site safety training.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
