PROJECT COORDINATOR – DOWNTOWN EDMONTON, AB

The Opportunity

This individual will be supporting and assisting the Senior Project Manager in the planning, managing, coordinating, and supervising aspects of large project delivery. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines. This position is Monday to Friday in-office and site-based work.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Oversee construction tenant requests under $25K from start to finish, ensuring completion with deadline and budget.
  • Assist Project Manager in coordinating various construction activities including work permits, site access, material delivery, scheduling, site verification, cost control, quality management, cost control, quality management, risk management, procurement, regulatory compliance, while ensuring compliance with health and safety.
  • Plan project quality, cost and timeline and coordinate project for minimal disruption and monitor construction schedules.
  • Participate in budget approval, contract negotiation, monitor project costs, scope changes, review construction schedule and assess vendor performance.
  • Attend construction meetings, prepare project monthly reports, and record-keeping.
  • Monitor compliance of documentation, liaise with stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractors’ activities on-site, administer contracts and ensure compliant with OH&S; ensure site cleanliness adheres to company standards.
  • Assist in handover of completed projects to operations.
  • Work as part of the construction team to guarantee continuous improvement and successful delivery of construction projects.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications.

  • Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate in Project Delivery, Construction Technology, Business or Administration is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial construction environment in an administrative capacity.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills including Excel, Project, Outlook, etc.; Yardi experience is an asset.
  • Occasional overtime may be required for projects.
  • Must obtain and maintain Reliability Clearance from the Government of Canada; additional security clearances may be required depending on project status, building, or region.
  • Candidates must have 2 COVID Vaccinations.

 

Compensation and Benefits
