CLAIMS COORDINATOR

 

We are thrilled to partner with our south Edmonton client in their search for an experience Claims Coordinator to join the team for a 4 week (possibly longer) temporary position.  If you have 3-5 years of experience in an insurance, risk, or claims administrative role, this may be the job for you.  Position available to start immediately!  Apply today!

 

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Director, Claims, you will be responsible for the administrative aspects of the claims department.

 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide support to the Director, Claims with daily administrative tasks of the department.
  • Con firm the nature, exposure and validity of a new claim and enter into the in house database.
  • Assist Claims Examiners with file preparation and documentation.
  • Determine the appropriate independent adjuster to handle claim
  • Confirm scope and coverage of current claim submissions.
  • Ensure all members receive timely and accurate responses to inquiries regarding their claim status.
  • Generate loss reports as required.
  • Review and process payment requests.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation a strong asset.
  • Insurance, Risk or Claims experience a strong asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadline driven tasks while staying organized.
  • Must be a strong problem solver with excellent decision making skills.
  • Team player who enjoys working in a busy, friendly, fast paced environment.

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate of pay will be based on experience.  Free parking available on site.
