Job Title: Engineering Team Lead – Telmatics (Agricultural Equipment)

As the Engineering Team Lead-Telematics, you will play a pivotal role in directing the telematics portion of product design and development at initial design phase including:

  • Design Concept
  • Regulatory concept
  • Testing Methodology

Your Role:

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Team Lead specializing in Telematics to spearhead the integration and development of telematics solutions in our agricultural equipment. As the Engineering Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the telematics aspect of design, ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and reliability across our product line.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the telematics aspects of product design and guide a standardized approach for new products focusing on Performance of product, Design for Manufacturability, Serviceability, Reliability, Affordability, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, software engineering, and manufacturing to define telematics requirements and specifications.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in telematics technology, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of telematics systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively to deliver high-quality telematics solutions on schedule.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
  • Teach and mentor design engineers and technologists and recommend skills training and process improvement where necessary.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on telematics, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed, including travel to other facilities as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in electrical and/or software design, data collection system design, vehicle or equipment telematics and mobile equipment control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with logical, consistent, and effective approach to problem solving including risk mitigation in design.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
