Job Title: Engineering Team Lead - Tillage Equipment Design

Your Role: As the Engineering Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and managing a team of skilled engineers to develop industry-leading tillage equipment designs. You will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to final production, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, and inspire a team of engineers in the design and development of tillage equipment, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.
  • Manage risk, project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Conduct thorough design reviews and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in tillage equipment design, and incorporate them into our product development processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. P.Eng. or CET required.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in engineering design and development, with a focus on agricultural equipment or machinery.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for agriculture and sustainable farming practices is a plus.
