Executrade is collaborating with a client to fill the position of an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their Edmonton office. This role involves design responsibilities, connection design and resolving design related issues for steel projects.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Manage design responsibilities, including but not limited to structural analysis, connection design, and resolution of design-related issues for structural steel projects.
- Build strong relationships with project management and various other disciplines (engineering, procurement, HSE, etc.) to ensure successful project completed.
- Provide engineering support to shop operations, field construction, contractors, and clients, serving as an expert advisor.
- Work in office and construction site environments, requiring minimal supervision and a hands-on approach to project management.
- Cultivate long-term client relationships by consistently exceeding expectations & delivering exceptional service.
- Coach and mentor junior staff members to support their professional development and growth.
- Demonstrate execution excellence and drive continuous improvement in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completed post-secondary education in Civil Engineering
- Professional member in good standing or eligible for registration with APEGA
- Minimum of 5 years direct work experience with structural steel and connection design for steel fabrication and erection.
- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions for complex engineering issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, & Project)
- Experience with X-Steel/Tekla and/or STAAD. Pro is considered an asset.
