ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD LEAD 

 

Executrade is working with a Geomatics Company, and is currently seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Lead to conduct high-quality fieldwork and reporting for projects related to water quality, fish salvage, wildlife, and environmental assessments. You will be working on diverse projects spanning sectors such as oil and gas, construction, infrastructure, and natural resources in Western Canada.

KEY ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Work in environmental monitoring and assessing role as part of a versatile, virtual team.
  • Assist clients in ensuring compliance with relevant Acts, regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Primarily engage in fieldwork, with potential for diversification based on your skills and capabilities.
  • Fieldwork may involve varied conditions, from construction sites to challenging forested areas, requiring daily site visits.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Passion for working in both natural construction environments, with a willingness to travel.
  • Proficiency in following detailed data collection protocols and maintaining comprehensive field notes.
  • Proven track record of fieldwork and a commitment to delivering successful project outcomes.
  • 3-5 years of similar fieldwork experience. But our company is open to training the right candidate.
  • Education in Biology, land reclamation, natural resource management, or forestry (diploma, bachelor, or masters degree.
  • Experience with ATVs, UTVs, trailer operation, and navigating oilfield roads.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Crew lead experience
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communications skills with clients and make informed decisions in the field.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The position is primarily field based, with the flexibility of working from your home office in a virtual setting. Fieldwork will include 3–7-day shifts in remote areas.
